I am looking for a way to use the Device Discovery feature to "find" external nodes. I will be involved in a data center migration which will include re-IP'ing my existing servers. I would like to pre-populate my new Orion database with the names/IP's of the servers that will be moving in. However, Device Discovery will not add a node that does not ping. I would like to have these added as "external" and just change them to SNMP once they arrive onsite.
Any chance that can be done or am I left creating each external node manually?
